Our Story

About Us

Welcome to Scotland Missions!

We are Jody and Haley Hagerty, along with our three daughters—Ava, Julia Kate, and Pyper. Our family’s journey is one of faith, purpose, and adventure, deeply rooted in our love for God and our calling to serve communities around the world.

Our Story

Our journey began in Georgia, where we cherished a life filled with strong community ties and a pace that allowed us to deeply engage with our faith and each other. Over the years, our lives have been shaped by the values of faith, family, and service, which have guided us through every chapter of our story, doing our best to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in whatever He has asked of us.

In 2002, after completing Bible college, we returned to our hometown to help establish a children’s ministry at our home church. Over the years, our roles expanded, and we were asked to help develop other ministries, including small groups, local outreach, global outreach, church planting, and eventually speaking on Sundays.

In 2008, we embarked on a significant journey as we took on the role of pastoring our home church during challenging times. It was here that we learned the true meaning of “Rapha,” a Hebrew word meaning “to heal, to set, to rebuild, or to restore.” This concept of healing—both physical and spiritual—has become the cornerstone of our life’s work. It seems that God has consistently placed us in roles to help rebuild, restore, or guide others into retreat.

We pastored our church from 2008 to 2024, experiencing times of joy, tears, and great excitement for what God was doing. We were blessed to be part of a church facility expansion, which included new parking, an Espanol campus, and expanded seating for kids, youth, and adult ministries. We also developed local outreach efforts to serve those in need, partnered with our local first responders, and served as a chaplain for the Rome City Police. Globally, we built churches, dug water wells, established schools, and supported feeding programs. Between 2006 and 2024 in total, our church had given over one million dollars towards local and global efforts and saw over 40,000 souls saved! We realize by looking back the power of partnership and working together with others in the kingdom of God.  We are so grateful for what The Lord allowed us to be a part of then, and we celebrate with our church now in what God will do next!

Looking Forward

As we settle into our new chapter in Scotland, we carry with us the lessons, values, and experiences from our time in Georgia. We are excited to immerse ourselves in Scottish culture, form new connections, and continue our mission of healing and restoration.
